Dynamic Load Lateral
Sum of all of the absolute instantaneous changes in the X-Axis of the accelerometer, divided by 1000 to give manageable values.
Focuses on sideways movements, capturing lateral acceleration forces along the X-axis, which is perpendicular to the direction of movement, which is typically parallel to the direction of movement.
Dynamic Load Vertical
Sum of all of the absolute instantaneous changes in the Y-Axis of the accelerometer, divided by 1000 to give manageable values.
Pertains to forward and backward movements, measuring anterior-posterior acceleration forces along the Z-axis, which is typically parallel to the direction of movement.
Dynamic Load Anterior
Sum of all of the absolute instantaneous changes in the Z-Axis of the accelerometer, divided by 1000 to give manageable values.
Relates to vertical movements, assessing vertical acceleration forces along the Y-axis, which is typically perpendicular to the ground.
Note - All accelerometer metrics are relative to the device orientation and so analysis should consider the changes in body position of the athlete in the interpretation.
