Overview
Sonra allows a range of bulk import options, including drills, drill labels, players, thresholds and optical tracking data. Here, users can download CSV template files before entering their data to ensure a import format.
Players
Players can be imported in bulk using the player import template, which can be download by choosing 'Download Template'.
Each row in the template corresponds to an individual player. Required fields include first name, last name, display name (how the name appears in Sonra) and date of birth.
Once completed, the template can be imported via the ‘Browse’ button.
Note: A squad must be created prior to importing players. Details on squad creation available in the Player Management section.
Drills
Users can import both Coded Drills and Drill Labels into Sonra.
Coded drills allow the user to bulk apply drills to exsiting sessions, by adding timestamps to the drill title.
The Drill Labels import allows users to bulk import primary, secondary and tertiary labels via an Excel (.csv) file.
Thresholds
Player thresholds can be imported in bulk using the thresholds template, available by choosing 'Download Template'. The thresholds template is used to import 'Individual' thresholds. 'Squad' thresholds must be imported via Thresholds in settings.
The threshold template is an Excel file which includes 16 sheets - one for each session type. Each sheet contains a row for each player, and a column for each metric (including custom metrics) in Sonra.
For ease of use - session types, players and metrics which are not needed, can be deleted from the template.
Once completed, the template can be imported via the ‘Browse’ button.
Note: Importing the thresholds template will overwrite any previous individual thresholds in Sonra. When updating thresholds, save the changes in the template then re-import.
Optical Tracking Data
Users can import Optical Tracking data from a number of third-party sources. These currently include TRACAB, Second Spectrum, STATS Perform, IsoLynx and FIFA.
Depending on the Optical Tracking source, different files will be needed to import successfully. For example, TRACAB imports require a positional file (.dat) and a metadata file (.xml), while Second Spectrum imports require a positional file (.jsonl) and a metadata file (.json).
To assign the correct players during the import, each player must be assigned a shirt number within their player profile. If importing opposition players, the user must add # before the shirt number in the player profile. All imports require the correct venue (Home or Away) to be selected before importing.
