Overview
Sonra’s Video Manager allows users to integrate event and tracking data in a seamless and innovative way using the new Dual-Timeline.
The synchronization of Sonra data with video allows greater insights into performance, enabling users to create custom tags in Sonra.
Tags can also be imported from third-party sources, with users able to add their own custom tags to an imported file, edit and delete specific instances, create drills automatically from tag selection and more.
Sonra stands out as the most advanced and innovative solution for analyzing integrated tracking and event data in one package.
Attachment
The first step is to attach a video to the Sonra platform.
To do this, click Attach Video, then Browse to retrieve the video on your laptop, before choosing Attach.
Note: the video should be in MP4 format.
Synchronisation
Once the video is attached, click Open Video.
To synchronise the activity graph with the video, pause the video then click Sync Video Time.
Once Sync Video Time is activated, click the corresponding start time on the activity graph, and click the Sync Video Time icon again to confirm.
Tagging
Tags can be imported into Video Manager via the Import Tags function.
The tagging timeline can be clicked on to jump to a particular event.
The create drill button can be used to identify data for a selected drill. E.g. If counter-attacks are tagged, selecting the tag and creating a drill will calculate all of the metrics present for players during the counter- attack plays.
Tag type will depend on the settings chosen in the tag customization window.
Import Tags
Tags can be imported from third party sources.
Once the XML file selection has been confirmed by selecting ‘Import’, tags configuration can be edited for tag owners and lead and lag times.
Dual Timeline
The Dual Timeline allows users to select either the tag or activity timeline which will move the video to the specified time.
This allows either tagged tactical events, or physical metrics to be selected and viewed immediately on the video.
The activity graph has the same functionality as it does under the ‘Individual Dashboard’ tab with the ability to create drills and export.
Mapping
Maps will display the selected player’s 2D position in synchronization with video playback.
Drill Library displays existing drills for selected player.
Selecting a drill will adjust video playback to view the selected drill.
Tag Timeline & Tag Drill Creator
The Tag Timeline is used to manage, edit or view tags imported or created by the user.
Timeline zoom operates in synchronization with the Activity Graph below.
Both Custom Tags and tags imported via a third party can be viewed in the same timeline.
Tags can be selected on the timeline; this will adjust video playback.
Tags can be multi-selected by holding the ‘Ctrl’ button and selecting desired tags/rows.
Selected tags can be used to create drills for the Tag Owners using the create drill icon.
Selected tags can be deleted from the timeline.
Full Tag Row can be selected by clicking the tag title on the Y-axis.
